PLAN OF MY LIFE
V. Zelenin, 4th-grade school student, Moscow As everyone knows, it is impossible to think through, create and elaborate any project without a simultaneously strict regimentation of a method of work, of one's time, without that regularity and order which alone is capable of providing continuity and productivity in work. What can you say about an idea or about a project which in terms of its profoundness or innovation or encompassing of the problems can become genuinely universal and become a new stage in the life of many people - wouldn't it demand a special, you could say, iron discipline and high level of demand from oneself? And wouldn't it be a pledge of this discipline and asceticism not only daily rules for organizing the day and specific conditions of life, but once and for all the acceptance of a plan for your whole life, a unique type of a long-term strategy prescribed for yourself from the outset, a program uniting your endeavors and your life into a unified whole with the intent of following it until the very end of your days? The devising and creation of such a plan would be the beginning of the realization of the Great Project, its first stage. Each person who resolves to turn his life into such an heroic deed, after the creation of such a "Plan of One's Life" should write it out in big letters on a large board and hang in the center of the wall in your room, and if possible to illuminate it brightly with lamps specially aimed at it. The lamps should be left on at night as well, so the text of the "Plan" emanates into the space of the room with unified constancy, and creates a special "field" in which the "Great Project" can be thought through and created.
