IRRADIATION WITH POSITIVITY AND OPTIMISM
E. Michailova, Engineer, V. Luki
As everyone knows, depictions - photographs, drawings, paintings - possess in and of themselves that energy conditioned by those objects or subjects which they depict. The more tragic, sad the subjects of the depictions, the more gloomy and heavy will be the emanation from the picture itself, especially if it is hung on the wall not far from the place where a person spends the greater part of the day. This is a quality not only of the depictions themselves, but of the things themselves, their contents, as noted long ago, that's why an experienced owner cautiously and meticulously selects a sculpture or a painting intended to be hung in his home. We shall now turn our attention to the usually little noted circumstance when a painting with a positive or with any neutral content is usually hung on a wall assuming the entire force of the affect via contemplation of what is depicted on it, and not paying attention at all to the fact that this painting has in reserve all by itself a no less significant charge or impulse. Imparting great significance, so to speak, to the esthetic moment, we miss from view the direct affect of the painting itself, which (and this is where the latest discovery in this field lies) is directly proportional to the distance of the painting from our body, which serves as a wonderful receiver of this type of affect.
The project "Irradiation with Positivity" is based precisely on this discovery. In organizations, establishments, hospitals, sanatoria, and everywhere where the quick and effective establishment of positive energy is necessary, it is proposed to erect special wooden stands where extremely positive paintings can be glued on the three internal sides with images of flourishing nature, tranquil landscapes. flowers illuminated by the sun, etc.
Specially glued chairs could also serve this goal. A person, moving very close to these walls or sitting down on such a chair, can acquire the reserve of necessary good spirits after a brief time period (30-40 minutes).
IRRADIATION WITH POSITIVITY AND OPTIMISM
1. Make two open stands on legs out of plywood without a top, bottom or front wall. Blue optimistic photographs, reproductions of paintings or drawings all over the inside of the "closets." (Preferably color, but a few black- and- white ones among them are OK).
2. Attach two knobs on each side of the closet so that the "client" can move the walls closer or farther away depending on his size.
3. Make one chair and cover it with similar images (cf.
sketch) except for the seat. You can use an ordinary office chair, but just attach side and back walls to it. Leave the seat leather. (It is best if the upholstery - the seat, the armrests, the back - were all of black leather.)
