ART OF 'HE FUTURE
G. Lisyansky, Artist, Odessa
Art of the future, most likely, will be multi-dimensional and at the same time, a unification into a new whole of the space of many formerly disparate spaces and worlds. Moreover, each of them, being included in the common unity, will continue to exist according to its own laws, as though not knowing in which new unity it is intended to wind up. Hence, this new whole will turn out to be in a new dimension - and the viewer, preserving the observations of the former, "lower" dimensions, will be capable of winding up in, so to speak, the next level of understanding, or in other words, he will move on from two and three-dimensional objects to the contemplation of four-dimensional space. In our example, the combination of a three-dimensional sculpture next to a two-dimensional painting (which includes a depiction of the very same sculpture) and a commentary on both of them hanging next to them - is capable of creating that "field" which we have in mind.
