A WHITE "CLOUD-BALL"

I. Golubev, Engineer, Minsk

As we know, above the Arctic circle it is completely dark almost half of the year, which depressingly affects the residents of the towns and villages there. The project proposed here is intensed to eliminate this depression by creating in this zone a favorable psychological climate and by restoring "quality" to this environment in comparison with other parts of the world.

Our project proposes the construction of gigantic balls in different parts of the Arctic circle, especially in places next to cities and regions. Such a white ball is created from the steam of paralabutan, a white gas which is absolutely harmless and the particles of which have the ability to concentrate and not to disperse for a long time. Images of other more "fortunate," positive parts of our planet are projected onto all sides of these balls with special, very powerful projectors: views of the warm sea, palms, green mountains, warm bays, islands, etc. Such gigantic images, located above the horizon, will not only have a positive influence on the condition of polar night, but will also provide a powerful means of illumination in this region.

A WHITE "CLOUD-BALL" 1. Make three boards out of masonite on wooden legs so you can then nail pictures to them.

2. Make trapezoidal tables out of masonite with three sides (walls). The legs are wooden.
