NON-TRANSPORT

O. Kazaryants, Librarian, Erevan

One of the most interesting problems which not only doesn't have a solution yet, but there is not even any approximation (we're not even close) to such a solution is the problem of non- transport - that is, the migration of people as well as the movement of cargo without any sort of material means whatsoever: railway, automobile, air, sea, etc. Nevertheless, cases of non- transport are well known to the mountainous regions of our planet, where along with its assistance enormous precipices have been surmounted and a crossover from one part of the mountain to another has occurred without the aid of a mountain pass. One peculiarity interesting for the analysis of our problem must be kept in mind here: in all such cases the initial situation must be entirely insurmountable in order for the power that is so interesting for us here to be ignited - it's as though it is somehow connected directly with an absolutely physically insur- mountable resolution. The second peculiarity of such instances of non transport is the symmetry which immediately arrests one's attention: the person or horseman winds up on the "other side" of the abyss, of the mountain, the impassable river, rock, etc.

Perhaps participating in these situations is some sort of invisible "axis of a turning point" or some unique anti-gravitational plane or surface functioning according to the principle of a mirror reflection? The corral of such "symmetrical jumps" would be a new area of transphysical dynamics. In conclusion we shall quote a story about an incident that occurred in the Caucuses in 1903 (Journal "Niva" No. 612): "Izmail was standing, completely covered in snow up to his waist, freezing in the face of the ascent up the Lakhoshsky precipice, it was impossible at that time of year to take the rock face ... and the very next second, Izmail saw that he was standing on the other side of the mountain ..."

NON-TRANSPORT

1. Obtain a few packages of black peat to scatter it on the floor. The height of the piles should be 75 cm, the length 200 and the width 130 cm.

2. Cut out a piece of plywood 85 x 130 cm.

3. Buy or make from a pattern 30 human figures with a height of 3 cm.
