THE CORNER OF PROJECTS

In addition to the numerous projects provoking social justification for the improvement of the environment, the improvement of the social or economic state of the entire society or individual groups within it; in addition to projects radically altering our view of the world, of science, of the universe - no less worthy of respect are the long-term projects connected with extended, intensive household matters, moreover, as a rule not connected with everyday, pragmatic goals inside the home. We are talking about those kinds of endeavors which do not expand and do not fracture our attention, but rather concentrate it on the creation of some specific "thing" which simultaneously does not require any special knowledge or professional training. On the other hand, such a thing or endeavor itself requires the creation of special conditinos, a special "environment," an atmosphere which will assist in the creation of this special world, the world of your imagination.

It is mandatory for this purpose to assign a separate corner in your room and construct narrow but conjoined tables occupying three of the walls. After that you must make a large number of wooden boxer (2-3 sizes), paint them black or dark brown and arrange them on the tables as shown in the sketch.

In your home, as in any other, there are many spare parts remaining after repairs of metal objects, electricity, plumbing, after working with wood, ceramic fragments, etc. (If there aren't any, then you have to buy them or bring them from the factory.)

Having separated them into a few groups according to their type of material, you can begin the "project." Selecting various objects, fix them inside the boxes, adhering only to those con- nections which emerge in your imagination. After a while, inside both halves of the boxes will form a very interesting, peculiar world, where new. special relationships between objects will emerge, plods will arise which will be known only to you. There, inside the box, a new space will be revealed, one you have creat- ed yourself, with your own imagination and your own hands, and sitting before them you will be able to submerge infinitely into them and escape into the mysterious depths.

THE CORNER OF PROJECTS

1. Make four boxes (2 that are 60 x 32 x 20 cm and 2 that are 50 x 30 x 20 cm) from wood and paint them inside and out a dark brown color.

2. Make boards for tables 50 cm wide and place them next to the wall like in the sketch.

3. Gather a large quantity of things on the tables and make compositions from them inside of the boxes. (If the necessity arises, then some things can be painted with enamel paint on the inside.)
